About Us

Goin Design was established in 1999 by Charles Goin to provide CAD and Web design services to businesses throughout the Richmond, Virginia area. We have since grown to provide 3D modeling services, 3D BIM services, MEP design, MEP drafting, architecture design and drawing solutions, construction design services, sheet metal and piping detailing, pre-construction coordination, engineering CAD drawing services, and other CAD detailing services to firms and contractors across the United States.

Design Management Service
By combining our MEP and architectural design experience, we offer our clients a consolidated Design Management Service to ensure cross-discipline consistency, resulting in onsite time and cost savings.

AutoCAD 3D Modeling
We provide full-dimension 3D models using AutoCAD for commercial, office, and residential projects. Our 3D models are used as inputs for design reviews, design coordination, and architectural visualization.

Our MEP CAD drafting services are utilized by MEP designers and contractors around the world. We produce MEP drawings for all stages of a project including in the design, tender, working, construction, and as fitted drawings.

MEP CAD Modeling
We provide MEP modeling services for MEP Coordination projects. Using the latest technology from Autodesk, we provide accurate 3D MEP Models based on coordinated design drawings.

Our CAD services team is led by qualified CAD designers and project managers who manage all projects from concept through to delivery. We provide CAD services for all types and all stages of projects from pre-planning to design and in construction drawings and details for industrial, commercial, retail, and residential projects.

Retail / Shop Fitting
We provide complete construction drawing sets (CD Sets) for retail upfits, including mechanical and architectural considerations.

Homebuilders
We create complete construction sets for new homes, including lot-specific details and address-specific drawings for single unit and multi-unit dwellings. We have worked with many homebuilders and home owners to produce architectural drawings to local building code and community building standards.

Industrial / Commercial
We provide drawings for a range of commercial projects including clean rooms, office space, health care facilities, warehouse space, hotels, and restaurants.

Detailing
The Devil is in the detail and no project is too small. We provide drawings for a range of detailing services from projects as simple as a footing or sheet metal fitting detail to projects as large as detailing all of the pipe and sheet metal for a high school or hospital.

How We Work

	We meet with you to discuss your design needs and to establish a project timeline
	We provide you with a written quote and offer cost effective solutions
	Drafts are prepared as drawings or 3D models according to your specifications
	The final drawings are delivered to you via FTP, E-mail or CD/DVD

How We Bill

	After reviewing your project we will provide you with an estimate that consists of a flat fee or an hourly rate, depending on your budgetary specifications
	Note: Hourly rates will vary depending on the size and scope of project
	A 10% retainer fee is required at the contract signing
	A 50% payment is required at the start of the project
	Final payment is due upon completion of the project
